This picture is a representation of society. The
pencil, someone with a point to get across, is surrounded by pointless people,
erasers. These people are not there to help the pencils see their dreams come
to fruition. The erasers would rather destroy any idea that is different from
the normal thought process that everyone else has. To me this picture describes
school 100% accurately. We are push through the school system and are taught to
be basic which nulls our brain. School doesn’t promote strong minded
individuals to grow with creativity and their imagination. It instead compromises
the confidence of those extraordinary individuals by forcing them to hide their
creativity and promise. After their confidence is compromised they are bullied
into taking menial jobs to survive. The construct of American society is extremely
flowed. Why don’t we get taught about our personality type? Why don’t we get
taught to maximize our potential by using our personality at work? Why aren’t we
taught to be different? The school system has worked the exact same way from when
it was created which is terrible. A society that refuses to adapt, chooses to
die. So we need to evolve as a country and teach the pencils how the
differences they have can be great instead of destroying their ideas. We also
need to teach the erasers to accept the pencils and help them to succeed in
life.
